Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing the financial statements and management accounts including commentaries

• Preparing budgets and financial plans

• Analysing management accounts by understanding and identifying trends and variances

• Examining all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies

• Preparing and managing cash flow

• Supervising and managing the finance department including payroll

• Motivating and leading the finance team members by clarifying roles and providing feedback

• Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported

• Establishing and implementing financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation

• Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations

• Compiling and submitting VAT returns

• Dealing and liaising with the general manager

• Compiling any ad-hoc reporting that might be requested from time to time

• Reporting to the group CFO in a timely manner and with accurate financial information

Minimum Qualifications

Required Applicants must be in possession of a University degree in Accounting or ACCA qualification.

Minimum Accounting Experience Required

Chef de Partie

SCOPE 

To assist the Sous Chef in the kitchen outlet/operation and to ensure that the company’s excellent reputation for food quality is maintained at all times. 

DUTIES 

  •  Assist the Sous Chef in the area assigned to him/her on the day. 
  • To prepare food in accordance with menu recipes, quality criteria’s and quantities required. 
  • Maintain the integrity and authenticity of recipes offered at the respective restaurant/ section. 
  • Source authentic ingredients and or recommend substitute ingredients, if not available on the Maltese Islands. 
  • Optimise cooking processes with attention to speed and quality. 
  • Maintain outlet safety at all times. 
  • Consistently maintain food and safety protection by ensuring that all food handling processes are compliant with HACCP food safety guidelines, regulations and procedures. 
  • Interact with customers, communicating menu items and promoting dishes listed on menu. 
  • Work within budgetary framework established for the department REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience working in a kitchen environment 
  • Knowledge of basic kitchen preparation and various dishes and cooking methods. 
  • Sound knowledge of authentic ingredients and substitute ingredients. 
  • Speaks English

Commis Chef 

SCOPE

F&B Server

SCOPE 

The F&B Attendant reports to the F&B Supervisor and is responsible for providing Waitress and Cleaning Services in, restaurants, F&B outlets and public areas. This is a Front of House position that primarily deals with serving clients and maintaining ultimate levels of hygiene on a 24/7 basis. 

DUTIES 

  • Provision of F&B services to in-house guests, and local patrons in accordance with departmental business levels. 
  • Order taking, serving of drinks and food orders
  • Maintain optimum standards of cleanliness in line with the company’s operating procedures and hygiene standards.
  • Set up and relaying of tables in restaurant outlets 
  • Prepares equipment in accordance with daily requirements. 
  • Prepares restaurant in accordance with company standards. 
  • Cleaning and sanitation of tables, buffet counters, cutlery and crockery. 
  • Follow H&S procedures and instructions on material safety data sheets
  • Cleaning and replenishment of supplies
  • Cleaning of all floor surfaces, windows and balconies.
  • Perform rotation cleaning duties i.e. deep cleaning of assigned areas in accordance with schedule 
  • Deliver and retrieve items from buffet counter
  • Follow security protocols to ensure safety of guests Reporting of maintenance
  • Responsible for achieving and exceeding customer satisfaction scores for the department and the hotel.
  • To participate in Training and Development programs offered by the organisation. 
  • Maintain a climate of friendly cooperation
  • Avoids wastage of products and ancillary amenities offered to guests
  • Additional ad hoc duties as directed by Head of Department 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Previous experience working in a food and beverage outlet environment considered to be advantageous
  • Good understanding of how the role contributes to the success of the hotel
  • Verbal and written communications skills in English and any other European Language
  • Eye for detail and passion for service
  • Physically fit and able to lift and move furniture.
  • Willing to work on a shift basis in a hotel environment

Bartender 

SCOPE

Maintenance Handyman / Plasterer & Painter

A new position within the Maintenance Department is being offered at Db San Antonio Hotel + Spa

Duties:

  • Make on-site preparations such as scaffolding, covering fixtures and fittings etc.
  • Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint.
  • Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)
  • Plaster walls and gypsum boards with plaster and/or finitura
  • Replacement of gypsum boards and finishing including plastering and paint
  • Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.
  • Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
  • Apply varnish and other finishes.
  • Follow and adhere to all Health and Safety precautions Requirements
  • 2/3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Have manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
  • Be conscientious with great attention to detail.
  • Have good time management skills.
  • Be reliable and work both independently or as part of a team.

Maintenance Supervisor

A new position within the Maintenance Department is being offered at Db San Antonio Hotel + Spa

Duties:

  • Supervise and assign tasks to the maintenance team

  • Inspect works for completeness and quality
  • Check maintenance requests from our computer based systems and/or from the guests’ calls
  • Update the work orders / job cards and update records and files for the maintenance team
  • Respond and attend to guest repairs when needed
  • Coordinate and inspect contracted work on electrical, plumbing or any other related works in the property
  • Train and instruct other members of staff through sharing of knowledge and other
  • Maintain hotel facility and all related equipment in a safe and efficient way
  • Perform any other duty assigned by the maintenance manager Requirements
  • 2/3 years’ experience in a similar role • Ability to prioritize and organise work within the department
  • Details oriented whilst being efficient and accurate
  • Ability to read and understand test equipment, measuring devices and safety manuals
  • To be available for emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to preserve the facilities and protect guests in an emergency
  • To be able to communicate with different types of people to provide what they need with regards to information or assistance
  • To be well organized, precise, neat and tidy
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment and to adhere to hotel standards operational procedures

Senior Plant Technician

A new position within the Maintenance Department is being offered at Db San Antonio Hotel + Spa

Duties

  • Maintains hotel facilities and all related equipment in a safe and efficient way
  • Doing corrective and preventive maintenance of all plant equipment such as pumps, boilers, heaters, reverse osmosis plant on electrical and mechanical related jobs
  • Supervise and assist Junior Plant Technician with his duties
  • On daily basis check important plant equipment and take necessary readings and if need be take actions and/or report to immediate superiors
  • Electrical / Mechanical jobs in all premises where required
  • Perform any other duty assigned by the maintenance manager Requirements
  • 2/3 years’ experience in a similar position • Electrical Licence A
  • Mechanical Diploma or Mechanical Hands on for a minimum of 2 Years
  • Ability to take own initiative for required upgrades works in the plant room
  • Ability to prioritize and organise works as per schedule
  • Details oriented whilst being efficient and accurate
  • Ability to read and understand test equipment, required manuals and measuring devices
  • To be available for emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to preserve the premises and protect guests
