Sous Chef

Experience working as a Sous Chef, preferably in a multiple dining concept.

Previous experience in restaurant pre-openings through to official opening considered as advantageous.

Working knowledge of various dining concepts such as Mediterranean and/or Oriental Cuisine is considered as advantageous.

Exceptional culinary skills.

Demonstrates excellence in: cost control, food safety, team leadership, coaching, time management and allergens.

Creativity and innovation in menu planning and delivery.

Ability to manage and lead a kitchen brigade in Head Chef’s absence. 

Proven leadership skills. 

Ability to work under pressure.

Chef de Partie 

Assist the Chef to organise activities in an assigned area / outlet.

Maintain a safe and smooth running operation within the framework of the restaurant’s quality and service standards.

Optimise cooking processes with attention to speed, precision and HACCP principles whilst also ensuring the authenticity and the integrity of menu items. 

Preparation of sushi dishes, Japanese, Korean, Thai and authentic Chinese cuisine.

Co-ordinate, supervise and train team members working in the section. 

Ideally, applicants must have previous experience working in an oriental restaurant environment, hold a valid Food Handling Licence and culinary qualifications relevant to their area of specialisation.

Group Sales Executive

At db Hotels + Resorts our Sales + Marketing operations thrive on the commitment of colleagues who model our value for excellence in everything we do. The db San Antonio Hotel+ Spa is making a call of applications for individuals with a flair for Sales. 

In this role you will be required to:

  • To successfully promote, sell & coordinate groups (MICE & Leisure) within the hotel.
  • Conduct hotel showarounds.
  • Issue group movements to all departments concerned
  • Upkeep of group files and information
  • Finalise group billing in accordance with company procedures
  • A good command of written and spoken English is necessary.
  • The candidate will ideally speak Maltese as well as German and/or French.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • We require an individual who is passionate about Sales and is willing to work in a busy hotel environment.
  • Willing and able to work flexible working hours including evenings and weekends in accordance with Group programs.

Chef De Partie Position

In this role you will be required to :-

Demi Chef De Partie

In this role you will be required to :-
  • Assist the Chef De Partie to organise activities in an assigned area/outlet

  • Ideally, applicants must have previous experience working in a similar environment, hold a valid Food Handling Licence and have attained relevant culinary qualifications.

Food & Beverage Supervisor

In this role you will be required to :-

  • Reporting to the Restaurant Executive Manager, this role would be suited to a seasoned F&B Supervisor with a minimum of two years’ experience working in a similar environment. 
  • Ideally, the candidate will have tacit knowledge of working in Restaurant and/or Banqueting operation. 
  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision, co-ordination and monitoring of F&B outlets and service staff, to ensure the prompt, efficient and courteous service to our patrons. 
  • Additionally, you will be required to ensure that the F&B outlets under your charge operate in accordance with the company’s established standards, operating procedures and health and safety standards.               
  • We require an individual who displays excellent communication and leadership skills, who is driven by professionalism, customer focus and dedicated to hospitality.
 

Food & Beverage Server

In this role you will be required to :-

  • Reporting to the F&B Supervisor, this role would be suited to individuals who are interested in starting their career in the Hospitality Industry. 
  • As a front liner, your primary focus will be to ensure that our Patrons enjoy a pleasurable experience in the outlet of their choice. 
  • In this role you will also be responsible for taking food or beverage orders, advising customers on the menu choices, serving food and beverages to customers, clearing and relaying covers for the next customer using the venue. 
  • Applicants must be willing and able to work on a shift basis including Sundays and Public Holidays.
  • Whilst experience would be considered advantageous, full training will be provided.


Food & Beverage Host

In this role you will be required to :-

  • Reporting to the F&B Supervisor, this role requires an individual with a high level of service orientation who enjoys meeting and greeting clients. As first impressions count, we require an individual who is well presented, organised with an excellent command of the English language and any other European language like French or German.
  • Previous experience as a cashier and familiarity with using a Point of Sale will be considered advantageous.
  • Applicants must be willing and able to work on a shift basis including Sundays and Public Holidays.
  • Whilst experience would be considered advantageous, full training will be provided.


Bartender

In this role you will be required to :-

  • Reporting to the Assistant F&B Manager, this role requires an individual with proven knowledge and experience in preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails.
  • As customer service is of paramount importance, applicants will also be expected to have the ability to consistently meet our patrons’ service expectations.
  • This role entails a great deal of precision, in terms of bar service, cash handling and operating in accordance with the company’s established standards, operating procedures including stock control and  health and safety standards.
  • Experience working in a similar role would be considered advantageous.

Room Attendants

In this role you will be required to :-

  • Perform routine cleaning duties
  • Servicing guest bedrooms and bathrooms.   
  • Previous experience providing cleaning services in a large establishment like a hotel, would be considered advantageous
  • Able to speak the English.
  • Knowledge of other European languages would be considered advantageous.
